Eating is also a great way to enjoy Segovia
Not only monuments and museums…Segovia is also the city of inns, inns and restaurants!
Segovia can boast of being one of the strongest bastions of Castilian cuisine.
It is not surprising, in fact, that a large part of its tourist attraction comes form its famous culinary culture.
Don't worry, you won't leave Segovia hungry...
WHAT TO EAT?
STAR DISHES:
cochinillo): juicy and crunchy at the same time The roast suckling pig (
The suckling lamb (the lechazo).
Whether it is winter or summer, a good plate of beans from La Granja or a good Castilian soup are always good options.
For those who prefer fish, the option would be trout.
Of course, a good Segovian meal must be accompanied by one of the renowned wines produced in the province, of which some vineyards produce red wines from the Ribera del Duero, or the Wines of the Land of Castilla y León, not to mention of white wines – Verdejo – with the Rueda Denomination of Origin.
You can't leave without trying the king of desserts in Segovia: the ponche (a thin sponge cake filled with cream and bathed in syrup, covered by a thin layer of marzipan that envelops the sweet moisture inside).
WHERE TO EAT?
The best areas to eat are:
-
The streets that goes from the Main Square,
-
The Azoguejo and Artillería Square,
-
Aqueduct Avenue
-
Near the beautiful Canaleja viewpoint.
Furthermore, if the day is sunny and the temperature is good, you can enjoy your meal on a terrace with impressive views of the monuments.

Go clubbing in Segovia:
Beyond its monuments, the city's cultural offering is extremely varied all year round and its streets and spaces always have music, dance, theater or literature to offer.
Among its most famous festivals are, for example, Titirimundi, MUSEG, Hay Festival and many more. In addition, surprising new spaces are emerging such as La Cárcel, a former prison transformed into a creation center.
